HAPPY MONDAY!
Just returned from the cold of New York where I was instructing a STRONGFIRST SFB Bodyweight Certification. It was a really great time with a great group of students. While I had a great two days in NYC, it was so nice to come home to 70 degree weather here in Texas. With such great weather, I decided to have a nice long relaxing trail walk yesterday.
Lots of exciting updates for you…
First, I am super excited to be heading to a few new places starting on 2/20. The 1st stop will be Cape Town, South Africa then on to Johannesburg and then Perth, Australia. I will be teaching the SFB bodyweight Certifications. So from 2/20 – 3/10 I will have made a trip around the world. Which is a first for me! And I am excited to be attending the Radiance Retreat in Santa Monica 3/27 – 3/29 with my best friend. I am looking forward to not only hanging with my Bestie for a few days but also to spend time with my friends/colleagues (Neghar Fonooni of Eat Lift & Be happy! and Jen Sinkler of Thrive as the Fittest) who are putting on this event while also meeting the other 40 fabulous ladies who will be attending.
Second, My most recent article for launched this past week and I have had some great feedback. Several comments on the laid back approach to my instruction. I heard from some that they had seen another article come across their news feed about the same time about pull ups but that it seemed very negative. It was saying “your too fat”, “your not strong enough”, etc etc.
While I agree that having more lean muscle mass than fat mass will make pull ups MUCH easier to achieve, I would never tell someone that they are too fat. The key to pull ups is building strength and practice!
